This treatment is usually only suitable on its own for specific musculoskeletal injuries or when dealing with a cold. Complementing acupuncture treatments, cupping uses suction - pulling on soft tissue and fascia - to relieve muscle tension and pain, improve blood circulation, and help the body detox. While this treatment offers more obvious benefits for injuries or pain related to sports, repetitive strain, or tension, cupping also benefits those that feel anxious, overwhelmed, fatigued, or emotionally frazzled, relieves physical manifestations of chronic stress, and speeds up recovery from colds and flus.
